I've been noticing a trend here. It seems to me that the most popular posts are the ones where people are essentially flinging insults and fighting tooth-and-nail. This is a forum to discuss moviemaking. Constructive critism is good...but not derogatory critism. And if people can't take constructive critism, they shouldn't be here! There has been a steady influx of "moviemaking-based" questions that no one has bothered to answer. Everyone is too preoccupied with trying to demonstrate how much wittier, intelligent and knowledegable they are than the other guy. It's f*cking juvenile!
I rest my case with the damn "midgets-in-movies" post just to name one example.

I also strongly feel this is not the place to discuss "movie ideas". Of course you're going to get a lot of disagreement and opinions, yet it always turns into a mudslinging contest.
I highly doubt the professionality of an individual who posts a topic described the concept for their next movie in full detail, at the mercy of all the rip-off artists who have access to a computer. I remember the day when this forum actually could teach a fellow something. I've been severely disappointed with its recent condition. Maybe that's why Dale hasn't bothered to update his site.

I admit there has been a bunch of crap lately, cuz i have started some of it. haha. but it is better than nothing. besides if someone wants to ask for an opinion about there movie....they can. It is a movie..and plots are part of a movie.

There's no harm in the occasional nonsense topic just for humour purposes. You can ignore them if you want.
I really don't think that people have not been bothered to answer questions.
If people only posted to answer tech questions then this place would be very empty. It's not like this forum is saturated with rubbish.

Mr Movie - what we were saying was that there were too many irrelevant posts - the gunshot sicko link that thankfully Dale got rid of for example. Of course there is a role for humourous posts - I even named my favourite midgets in movies, but this site was created for people to exchange ideas, not slag each other off.

And my shit stinks just as much as everyone elses...

I agree there's a lot of mudslinging going on here...but welcome to the world of filmmakers. A person grabs a VHS shoots a Blair Witch Parody and suddenly they think it's their right to slag anyone who claims to be a filmmaker. It takes a lot more than just saying "hey, I'm a filmmaker." TO win respect but it seems a lot of people miss that point and immediatly go for the juggular towards other viable filmmakers. It's a Dog-eat-Dog business. You think this forum is bad, GO TO HOLLYWOOD! This place looks like Get-along-ville compared to that hell hole!!
